Our Beloved Nabi (Sallallahu 'alayhi wasallam) has said something to the effect that a heart that holds no portion of the Qur'aan is like a deserted house.

Ramadhaan is around the bend, let's increase recitation in the run-up to Ramadhaan...insha Allah let us make the intention that " THIS RAMADHAAN I am going to exert myself in the way of the Holy Qur'aan, in a way that I haven't before. THIS RAMADHAAN I am going to become close to the Qur'aan cleanse my rusty heart.THIS RAMADHAAN I will become a close friend of the Qur'aan!"

It will help you in your GRAVE.IT will help you the THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT. This friend won't let you down! This friend is Truthful and Dedicated...THIS is YOUR TRUE FRIEND...OUR TRUE FRIEND!!!!!! It's up to us...Will we accept this friendship or reject it?...Let us think carefully...

Let us be true to ourselves....Let us befriend the Holy Qur'aan. Let us remember ALLAH Doesn't need us to recite the Qur'aan...We need the Qur'aan to guide US!

JazakAllah for such a beautiful post, it touches my heart. Quraan is in indeed our most true friend given to us by Allah.

It talks to us.

@B: Masha Allah you are truly blessed and chosen by Allah Ta'ala to be memorizing His Glorious Book.

Remember :Shaytaan HATES the fact that you are becoming Part of Allah's Household and amongst His Special Servants. He HATES the fact that on the Day of Qiyaamah ,a true and practising Haafidh/a will be enetered into Jannah and Allah will also accept his/her intercession in respect of 10 such persons of his/her family who had been doomed to Hell(as mentioned in the Ahadith). Imagine! shaytaan's effort in regard to TEN people ( Eleven with the Haafidh/a) all in vain! So he will definately work harder on the one memorizing Allah's Holy Book.( I must grant him that credit, he sure is hardworking in his goal of misleading people, if only we could become just as hardworking in OUR goal of Pleasing Allah and reciting His Glorious Book!)

The trick is, don't EVER let a day go by when the Qur'aan is not read/learnt.Even if less is read/learnt, "something is better than nothing and more is better than less!" .Most of the time it's shaytaan making a person disillusioned/lazy/disorientated to open the Holy Qur'aan, but once the Qur'aan is opened and the Nur of Allah's words encapsulates the heart, Alhumdulillah it is easy to recite and learn.

To us all: Don't EVER give up, Don't EVER fall prey to the traps and mindgames of shaytaan, make sincere Dua to Allah and PERSERVERE. Through this little sacrifice of our time and sleep in THIS WORLD solely for Allah's Pleasure, The Qur'aan will insha Allah be an argument FOR us on the Day of Qiyamah, ameen.
Na'oozubillah, I shudder to think what would happen if Qur'aan were to be an intercessor against us! Na'oozubillah! The intercession of the Holy Qur'an will be of the highest intercession on the Day of Qiyamah!! May Allah make that intercession in our favour on the Day of Qiyamah, ameen!

Let us start today, by befriending the Holy Qur'aan. Just as we don't forget to eat every day, we must not forget to recite Al Qur'aan-ul Kareem every day!May Allah Ta'ala give me first the ability to practise on the above and on every aspect of the Holy Qur'aan, and may each and every Ummati become true and sincere Mu'mins that are attached to the Qur'aan and Sunnah, ameen.

may Allah reward you, ur words have strengthened me a great deal.

For the past few days i havent been able to even recite the Quraan. Despite the fact that i know its from Shaitan and like u mentioned he hates that i do it and get close to Allah.

Sometimes i would pick it up, and place it back again without reading a word from it. And didnt recite more than a short surah or two from the memory.

But Shaitan has his tricks so i should i have mine too, thanks for helping me in that.

may Allah help us in our goals towards Him, aameen.

i would ask u to keep me in ur prayers :)
